Child Care
Expanding access to high-quality affordable child care
Idaho’s child care industry is not meeting the demands of working families across the state, assessments show nearly half of Idahoans lack access to high quality options. There is increasing interest in programs that build strong foundations for young children and their families, we are here to support systems building coordination or long-term policy change strategies.
Family Stability
Increasing investments in Idaho families with young children
Healthy development of young children begins at home. Yet, in Idaho, families with young children are only one unexpected economic hardship away from experiencing an eviction due to the growing gap between rents and wages. Exposure to chronic stressors in the early years is directly correlated to physical, cognitive, and emotional health problems later in their development.
Parent Voice
Engaging parent voice in early childhood policymaking
To best address these gaps in the system and make Idaho a state where families thrive, we must center parent caregiver voices in policy-making decisions that affect themselves and their children. We are creating parent leaders who are passionate about creating a state that they can do well and have everything they need.
